Requirements
  • Must be a licensed physician capable of providing clinical and technical medical direction.
  • Ability to consult on public health, medical, and clinical issues that may affect business operations.
  • Willingness to provide onsite physician services at Clinic locations at least once per week with scheduling flexibility as needed.
Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical and technical medical direction for providing medical evaluation and treatment to employees and contractors.
  • Provide medical direction for the organization’s automated external defibrillator program and Medical Emergency Response Team.
  • Review and sign medical directives and protocols for staff, for nursing care that is based on Health Services standard procedures, and monitor the clinical care of employees for consistency to directives.
  • As delegated by the Medical Director, may serve as Client's Medical Review Officer for drug screenings.
  • Promote working relationships with specialists in the community surrounding Location(s) to support effective medical care for employees.
  • Consult on public health, medical, and clinical issues that may affect business operations.
  • Support meeting Health goals as it relates to Employees wellbeing through Health Promotion, Wellness and Prevention, and Employee Assistance Programs.
  • Maintain open communications and availability to Staff for consultation on clinical issues.
  • Upon request, review clinical documentation of patient care to ensure compliance and best practice.
  • Support management, environmental and safety staff, engineering professionals, ergonomics teams and other staff to help reduce workplace health hazards.
  • Provide technical information and training to Staff on an ongoing basis to ensure high quality clinical care, including training programs.
  • Provide consultation for periodic episodic medical care.
  • Provide technical support for the evaluation, care and management, investigation and documentation of occupational exposures, injuries and illnesses of Employees.
  • Provide clinical evaluation and care for injuries and illness of Employees requiring medical support.
  • Review complex Workers' Compensation cases and provide support to Staff in developing and overseeing ease management plans for Employees.
  • Investigate and provide expert opinions in the areas of causality, compensability and record-ability.
  • Facilitate the safe and efficient return to work of injured Employees.
  • Provide clinical support to the administration of Clinical Diagnostics' medical surveillance program (the "Medical Surveillance Program") and risk assessment process.
  • Work with Staff to evaluate clinical trends as requested in the Medical Surveillance Program administered for Employees.
  • Provide medical examination services for the Medical Surveillance Program based on applicable standing orders provided by Service Provider and approved by , including the review of applicable forms and clinical testing and documentation performed by Staff.
  • Interpret clinical testing data including laboratory results, audiometric testing results spirometry testing results etc.
  • Perform fitness for duty evaluations, including review of Employee medical histories, occupational exposures, airy pertinent medical records, and material safety data sheets, and perform physical examinations.
