Requirements
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in civil works, with at least 3 years in bridges or structures maintenance.
  • Proven experience in AACM projects and maintenance of bridges and structures is required.
  • Strong knowledge of civil construction methods, repair techniques, and structural maintenance works.
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings and method statements.
  • Strong leadership, coordination, and communication skills.
  • Valid UAE Driving License is mandatory.
Responsibilities
  • Supervise daily civil construction and maintenance activities related to bridges, structures, and associated works.
  • Coordinate and direct site labor, subcontractors, and equipment to achieve planned productivity.
  • Ensure works are executed in accordance with approved drawings, method statements, and specifications.
  • Monitor repair, rehabilitation, and maintenance works for bridges and structural elements.
  • Conduct site inspections and ensure quality of workmanship and materials.
  • Ensure compliance with Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental (QHSE) requirements at all times.
  • Identify site issues and coordinate with engineers for timely resolution.
  • Maintain daily site records, progress reports, and material usage logs.
  • Support inspections, measurements, and work verification activities.
  • Ensure housekeeping, traffic safety, and site discipline are maintained.
Desired Qualifications
  • Diploma in Civil Engineering or equivalent technical qualification is preferred.
  • Experience with municipal or infrastructure contracts is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with UAE construction practices and safety standards is preferred.

Wiemelt brings over 35 years of leadership experience in the nuclear and energy sectors, with expertise in programme management, environmental remediation and strategic planning. Wiemelt previously served as Senior Vice President and General Manager at Jacobs, where she led the company's global Energy, Security and Technology business unit. In that role, she managed a portfolio exceeding $1.5 billion in annual revenue and over 8,000 employees worldwide. She has also served on numerous industry and corporate boards.
