Requirements
  • Experience in staff management and leadership in a professional setting.
  • Experience working with children or young people in a professional capacity.
  • Some German proficiency at spoken B1–B2 minimum and the ability to liaise with activity providers.
  • Fluency in English.
  • High self-sufficiency, a growth mindset, and a proven track record of solution-oriented problem-solving skills.
  • High physical, mental, and emotional resilience.
  • High energy, excitement, and comfort speaking in front of large groups.
  • Availability during management training in Freiburg from June 16–19 and throughout the summer season from June 19–August 9.
Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the Camp Manager to ensure efficient management and smooth running of the camp.
  • Supervise teaching and activity staff in collaboration with the Camp Manager.
  • Share responsibility for providing an enjoyable, developing, respectful, inspiring, and safe camp experience for students.
  • Supervise the activities and excursions programme.
  • Manage the Activity Leader team.
  • Create activity schedules.
  • Manage risks.
  • Correspond with external activity partners.
Desired Qualifications
  • Fluency in German and English.
  • Experience in outdoor education or summer camps.
  • A driver’s license and the ability to drive a minivan.
