Requirements
  • At least 8 years of relevant experience designing mixed-signal circuits in a hardware engineering role.
  • A Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience or training.
  • A proven track record in printed circuit board schematic and layout design, ideally in high-speed and radio-frequency or analog applications.
  • Hands-on experience with Cadence Allegro.
  • Knowledge of signal integrity, power integrity, and thermal management principles.
  • Working knowledge of printed circuit board fabrication processes and design-for-manufacturing best practices.
  • A strong foundation in analog and digital electronics.
  • Experience mentoring junior designers and sharing technical knowledge across the team.
Responsibilities
  • Execute printed circuit board development from concept through production, with increasing ownership over design decisions.
  • Design and implement radio-frequency, analog, digital, and power circuits for high-performance cellular base station products.
  • Collaborate with domain experts on floor planning and printed circuit board constraints for seamless integration.
  • Own schematic capture and printed circuit board layout, and participate in design reviews.
  • Optimize printed circuit board stack-up for performance and cost.
  • Develop and maintain schematic symbols and component footprints.
  • Contribute to and improve the printed circuit board development flow for better quality and productivity.
  • Participate in printed circuit board vendor engagement and design-for-manufacturing reviews.
  • Drive board bring-up and debugging, escalating complex issues through structured analysis.
  • Work cross-functionally with experts across analog, digital, and radio-frequency domains.
Desired Qualifications
  • Exposure to artificial-intelligence-assisted electronic design automation tools for schematic capture, layout optimization, or design-for-manufacturing checking.
  • Comfort using AI copilots, including Cadence's artificial-intelligence- and machine-learning-enabled Allegro features or general large language model tools, for documentation, datasheet parsing, or design-rule research.
  • Comfort adopting AI-augmented workflows to improve design productivity.

GreenWave Radios designs energy-efficient RF systems around a specialized hardware architecture called a non-linear Radio Processing Unit (nRPU). Its radios run software-defined protocol personalities that can implement many RF standards on a single hardware platform. The core idea is to execute diverse radio functions in software on the nRPU, achieving much lower power consumption than typical radios while preserving flexibility. This approach lets GreenWave Radios support multiple radio standards and features on one hardware base, enabling easier updates and customization without swapping hardware. The company’s goal is to provide ultra-low-power, flexible radios that can support a wide range of protocols efficiently, addressing the demand for long-lasting, adaptable wireless devices.
