Requirements
- This is a "hands-on" job requiring onsite attendance
- Ability to drive trucks with trailers to load other vehicles
- Perform sustaining tasks including fueling, charging, cleaning, and supply runs
- Replace tires on robots and Fleet vehicles
- Learn and have the ability to perform vehicle extractions from public roads with the use of truck and trailer and other company assets
- Uphold Nuro safety standards while operating company vehicles on public roads
- Implement daily vehicle checks and tasks to maintain efficient fulfillment of deliveries and high vehicle uptimes
- Document all vehicle tasks and issues in our Fleet Tracking system
- Ability to use fine motor skills to accomplish duties involving handheld remote controls requiring finger dexterity
- Knowledge of and/or the ability to use a torque wrench
- Maintain safety in our vehicle depots
- Effectively communicate and collaborate with Fleet Technicians, Fleet Supervisor, and other cross-team members
- Help maintain a clean and safe work environment and depot by participating in and maintaining a 5S area
- Be flexible with an evolving work schedule and open to working an AM or PM shift with overlapping weekends
- Willing to travel to different sites and locations
- This position is subject to a 30-day training phase to determine skill proficiency and a 90-day probationary period
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associates/Bachelors courses/degree a plus
- Demonstrated ability to perform light vehicle mechanical work

- Lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling up to 50 pounds on a regular basis
- Working in a variety of physical conditions for long periods of time such as crouching, stooping, reaching, bending, squatting, sitting, standing, and walking
- Working outside in all weather conditions for an extended amount of time
- Holding and grasping with hands when driving the vehicle, frequent use of foot/feet to operate foot pedals on the vehicle, and finger and hand dexterity
- Ability to sit in an enclosed vehicle for long periods of time
- Comfortability working in a fast-paced testing environment with moving vehicles and obstacles
Desired Qualifications
- Automotive or IT Certification is a plus
- Truck and Trailer driving experience is a plus
- Experience working with Electric Vehicles and/or Autonomous Vehicles is a plus
- Experience with backing up a trailer with a truck
- Mechanical experience on vehicle or related equipment
- Skills certifications: i.e. COMPTIA A+, course completion certificates, documented work experience, etc
