Netcracker and C Spire expand Agentic AI for customer experience.

Netcracker and C Spire expand Agentic AI for customer experience. Published on: Sep 8, 2026 Netcracker Technology and telecommunications provider C Spire are expanding their partnership to apply Agentic AI and revenue management technology to customer care, digital billing and customer experience. The expanded deployment builds on C Spire's earlier use of Netcracker's Agentic AI capabilities to automate billing-related customer queries. The companies say the next phase will extend AI-assisted interactions across customer care while maintaining controls around sensitive customer information. The announcement highlights a broader shift in enterprise customer experience technology: AI is moving beyond conversational assistance toward systems that can automate operational processes behind customer interactions. Agentic AI moves deeper into customer care. C Spire's initial deployment focused on automating queries associated with billing. The company is now expanding the use of Netcracker's Agentic AI capabilities to handle additional customer-care interactions. For customer experience teams, the distinction between conventional chatbots and agentic systems is increasingly important. Rather than simply responding to predefined questions, agentic technology can be designed to interpret customer requests and support multi-step operational processes. In C Spire's case, the technology is being introduced within a telecommunications environment where billing, customer accounts and service interactions can involve sensitive information. The companies say the expanded deployment is intended to automate interactions while protecting that data. The approach could help reduce repetitive workloads for customer-service teams while allowing customers to resolve more issues through digital channels. Digital billing becomes part of the CX strategy. Alongside Agentic AI, C Spire is expanding its use of Netcracker Revenue Management to improve digital bill presentment. The technology is designed to reduce the complexity involved in managing digital bill formats across different channels. According to the companies, C Spire expects greater flexibility and accuracy in digital billing, alongside lower operational expenses. The customer-facing impact is also significant. More personalized bill formats can make complex telecommunications charges easier for customers to understand, potentially reducing the need for service assistance. This connects revenue management with customer experience in a way that is increasingly relevant to digital service providers. Billing is often one of the most frequent interactions customers have with a service provider, meaning improvements to the billing experience can influence both satisfaction and contact-center demand. Automation and call-center deflection. C Spire says the expanded technology is producing benefits including improved call-center deflection, more flexible digital bill formatting and reduced operating costs. Call-center deflection is particularly relevant as enterprises attempt to balance rising customer expectations with pressure to control service costs. Automating routine interactions can allow human agents to focus on more complex customer issues. However, the effectiveness of this model depends on the quality of AI responses, escalation processes and the underlying customer data available to the system. Poor automation can shift rather than eliminate service friction. Market landscape. Agentic AI is increasingly being evaluated across customer service, marketing and enterprise operations. The technology's potential value lies not simply in generating responses, but in connecting customer requests with business processes. For telecommunications providers, billing and customer care provide particularly relevant use cases because they generate high volumes of repetitive interactions while requiring access to structured customer and account information. Strategic outlook. C Spire's expanded deployment illustrates how customer experience strategies can increasingly combine AI automation with revenue-management infrastructure. The next competitive phase will likely focus on how effectively service providers connect agentic AI with customer data, billing systems and digital channels while maintaining privacy and human escalation. The strongest implementations will need to demonstrate not only automation, but measurable improvements in customer resolution, personalization and operational efficiency. Top insights. * C Spire is expanding its use of Netcracker's Agentic AI beyond billing queries. * The deployment adds AI-supported customer-care interactions. * Netcracker Revenue Management is being expanded for digital bill presentment. * C Spire reports improved call-center deflection and reduced operational expenses. * Personalized digital billing is intended to improve the customer experience.
