Requirements
  • A bachelor's-level degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Business Administration is required.
  • Three years of professional experience are required.
  • Two years of experience performing programmatic and administrative functions supporting division operations are required, including correspondence, data entry, database creation, payroll support, meeting coordination and scheduling, travel arrangements, records management support, business-output monitoring using financial reports and personnel metrics, financial and funding analysis, policy and directive review, metrics development and tracking, word processing, presentation preparation, professional-level tasks requiring independent judgment, initiative and tact, documentation planning and support, project administration, and general office support.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills are required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, as well as Adobe Acrobat, is required.
  • Passing a pre-employment drug screening and obtaining acceptable reference and background check results are conditions of employment.
Responsibilities
  • Manage services that allow organizations to operate efficiently, including secretarial and reception services, administration, payroll, conference planning and travel, information and data processing, mail, materials scheduling and distribution, printing and reproduction, records management, telecommunications management, security, parking, and personal property procurement, supply, and disposal.
  • Implement procedures to improve productivity and customer service.
  • Acquire, distribute, and store supplies, dispose of surplus property, or oversee the disposal of unclaimed property.
  • Coordinate the physical workplace with the people and work of an organization.
Desired Qualifications
  • Working knowledge of the Naval Sea Systems Command, Naval Surface Warfare Center, and Fleet organizations.
