Crest celebrates four years of partnership with Glass Act Recycling.

Crest celebrates four years of partnership with Glass Act Recycling. Alexandria, LA - May 1, 2026 - Crest Industries is proud to celebrate four years of collaboration and support for Glass Act Recycling. Founded in 2022, Glass Act Recycling is a non-profit organization with the goal of reducing glass waste in the local landfill. The closed-loop facility accepts glass donations from central Louisiana residents, processes the materials, and then repurposes the crushed glass into various products like sandblasting media, filtration products, and crafting supplies. From fundraising and volunteer work, to regional student outreach and facility projects, Crest and Glass Act have built a partnership based on trust, collaboration and a shared vision for supporting the local community. The group's signature collaboration is the Rapides Parish Schools Glass Recycling Drive celebrated during Earth Day and Love the Boot Week each year. "Sustainability is a group effort," says Sarah Laborde, Crest Industries Communications and Sustainability Manager. "Everyone can have an individual impact, but when we come together, the possibilities are limitless." The 2026 School Glass Drive received record-breaking glass donations and diverted more than 5,000 pounds of glass from local landfills in a single weekend.
