  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Completion of an accredited medical assistant program or licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse or completion of the UW Health Medical Assistant Apprenticeship Program or an Employee Partner Medical Assistant Program or attainment of the Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), or Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) certification as a UW Health employee or acceptance into the UW Health Medical Assistant Apprenticeship Program – Accelerated
  • One year of recent Medical Assistant experience and CMA, RMA or CCMA Certification
  • Certification as a Medical Assistant, CMA, RMA, or CCMA within 1 year of hire is required or licensure as an LPN upon hire is required
  • If applying in lieu of Medical Assistant education or LPN licensure, must have current CMA, RMA, or CCMA certification upon hire
  • CPR/BLS certification upon hire is required
  • All required above may be satisfied by current licensure or apprenticeship program completion as specified
Responsibilities
  • Provide hands-on assistance with dermatology procedures, including biopsies, excisions, and wound care
  • Facilitate dermatology services such as phototherapy, photodynamic therapy or laser procedures
  • Deliver quality care in a compassionate and patient-family-centered environment
  • Promote healthy lifestyles, wellness, and education
  • Be part of a positive, patient-centered team
Desired Qualifications
  • One year of experience as a Certified Medical Assistant or Licensed Practical Nurse preferred
