Stockroom Assistant

The Department of Chemistry Stockroom employs students as Stockroom Assistants to support the general laboratory needs of faculty and students. Assignments include washing glassware, organizing workspaces and helping to inventory chemicals and equipment. Skills necessary for this position include the ability to follow directions and communicate effectively with students and supervisors, working assigned hours (up to 6 hours each week), handling equipment and chemicals as instructed, and maintaining Chemistry Stockroom order and cleanliness. Student employees working in Science Hall laboratory settings must attend a mandatory safety meeting to learn safety procedures necessary for the job.
