The Intern - Wireless Communication Systems Engineer position reports to the Senior Wireless Communication Systems Engineer within the System Engineering team. The successful individual in this role will research, analyze, and simulate wireless communications algorithms, culminating in a presentation of the algorithm, and simulated performance to our company leadership. The position is full-time, on-site daily Monday through Friday. The location for this role is Silvus Technologies’ HQ in the heart of vibrant West LA.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The focus will be on developing a new Transmit Beamforming Architecture.
Review existing material related to Transmit Beamforming in MIMO OFDM systems.
Review literature on Codebook based Tx Beamforming approaches.
Work with a Senior Systems engineer to select a subset for simulation.
Make modifications to existing Matlab simulation to bench. Include the selected algorithms.
Run simulations and collect performance data.
Draft descriptive design document, and presentation for discussion with the group.
In-progress bachelor’s or master’s degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or other related technical fields.
Basic understanding of Statistics and Probability.
Basic understanding of Communication Transmission Methods .

PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Matlab coding experience.
