  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 2 years of experience in financial aid or similar customer service field/environment
  • An equivalent combination of training, experience, credentials, or accomplishments demonstrating the ability to perform the essential functions of this job may substitute for education degree requirements.

Responsibilities
  • The MVBA must be able to establish and maintain a relationship with other departments, outside agencies and vendors.
  • The MVBA position is essentially an influential leader who will model ethical behavior.
  • The MVBA position will require independent work and knowledge of Military and Veterans Benefits. Attends and participates in departmental meetings as required to ensure information given to students and University personnel about military benefits is accurate and up to date.
  • Establishes and maintains professional relations with military contacts, Utah State Approving Agency, and other business professionals.
  • Ensures problems are effectively resolved.
  • Ensures payments and paperwork is processed timely and accurately.
  • Promotes a positive image of the University and upholds its reputation.
  • Attends yearly workshops offered by the VA and SAA to receive information affecting benefit administration.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
