What You’ll Do:
The Military and Veterans Benefits Administrator will support the Director of MVB as well as the leadership team and stakeholders to create
an environment of team success, ensuring that the daily operations of the team run smoothy and efficiently.
Main Responsibilities Include:
The MVBA must be able to establish and maintain a relationship with other departments, outside agencies and vendors.
The MVBA position is essentially an influential leader who will model ethical behavior.
The MVBA position will require independent work and knowledge of Military and Veterans Benefits. Attends and participates in departmental meetings as required to ensure information given to students and University personnel about military benefits is accurate and up to date.
Establishes and maintains professional relations with military contacts, Utah State Approving Agency, and other business professionals.
Ensures problems are effectively resolved.
Ensures payments and paperwork is processed timely and accurately.
Promotes a positive image of the University and upholds its reputation.
Attends yearly workshops offered by the VA and SAA to receive information affecting benefit administration.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
High School Diploma or GED
Experience:
2 years of experience in financial aid or similar customer service field/environment
Experience in lieu of education:
An equivalent combination of training, experience, credentials, or accomplishments demonstrating the ability to perform the essential
functions of this job may substitute for education degree requirements.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree or relevant work experience/training
Experience working in Higher Education
Experience with Salesforce, Banner, or Enrollment Manager

The salary range for this position takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.
At WGU, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their position, and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is:
Pay Range: $49,800.00 - $74,600.00
