  • Lead projects end-to-end with measurable business impact, taking ambiguous problems from initiation to production while maintaining quality.

  • Demonstrate strong system design judgment involving data models, service boundaries, failure modes, and scalability.
  • Communicate technical decisions clearly, provide effective feedback, and collaborate across functions in a startup environment.
Responsibilities
  • Lead the design and delivery of complex product features and platform systems from scoping and architecture through production and iteration.
  • Establish engineering patterns and standards for building, testing, observing, and iterating across product and platform work.
  • Apply and champion AI tooling, including Claude Code, Cursor, and Codex, to accelerate individual output and raise team velocity.
  • Drive architectural decisions involving data models, service boundaries, system tradeoffs, and communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Desired Qualifications
  • Experience building AI-powered features or systems used by customers in production, including large language model integrations, agentic workflows, retrieval pipelines, or intelligent automations.
  • Experience with large language model evaluation frameworks such as RAGAS, LangSmith, or custom harnesses, with a systematic approach to measuring reliability.
  • Fintech domain knowledge, including financial services, wealth management, regulatory compliance, or financial data integrations.
  • Experience with vector databases, embedding pipelines, or retrieval-augmented generation at production scale.
  • Fluency with modern development ecosystems, including macOS toolchains, continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines, infrastructure as a service such as AWS or GCP, and observability platforms such as Datadog or Honeycomb.
