Requirements
  • 10+ years of total professional experience.
  • 7+ years in general marketing roles.
  • 5+ years dedicated specifically to product marketing.
  • 3–5 years of leadership experience in a hands-on player-coach capacity, including building, onboarding, and managing marketing teams and external agencies or contractors.
  • Proven experience building or scaling a marketing function within an early-stage, resource-constrained, high-growth environment.
  • Experience managing marketing and partnering with sales.
  • Demonstrated experience building positioning, messaging frameworks, and sales enablement collateral in complex domains.
  • Strong, concise writing ability and willingness to perform initial individual-contributor execution.
  • Exposure to or hands-on experience in demand generation or growth marketing to build and oversee that specialization.
Responsibilities
  • Define and own core messaging, value propositions, and positioning across the target addressable market and ideal customer profiles.
  • Partner with the CRO, CEO, VP of Product, and VP of Behavioral Health Programs to prioritize ideal customer profiles and align go-to-market strategies.
  • Map the customer journey across pipeline stages and ensure handoffs between marketing, sales, and customer success.
  • Build sales enablement materials, including product sheets, ideal-customer-profile-tailored content, pitch assets, and objection-handling frameworks.
  • Develop a competitive intelligence function, including battlecards and ongoing differentiation strategies.
  • Own the multi-year marketing growth plan and determine hiring priorities and sequence.
  • Recruit, onboard, and manage new full-time hires as the team expands.
  • Manage existing contractors and determine when to convert contract resources to full-time roles.
  • Manage and collaborate with the full-time Marketing Designer.
  • Establish the operating rhythm, processes, and cross-functional reporting cadence for the marketing function.
  • Represent marketing in executive leadership discussions regarding resourcing, budget allocation, and strategic direction.
