Requirements
  • You have completed a degree focused on accounting, controlling, finance, or business informatics.
  • You have initial practical experience in accounting, controlling, auditing, or transaction advisory, including internship experience.
  • You have worked with financial figures for which another person was responsible and understand the importance of accuracy in this field.
  • You can use Excel beyond pivot tables, including dynamic consolidation logic, scenario models, and robust data architectures.
  • You can automate processes with scripts or an automation environment; Python or SQL is a strong advantage, and DATEV knowledge is also advantageous.
  • You use artificial intelligence for analysis, reconciliation routines, document review, and drafting explanations.
  • You can explain financial figures so that people without an accounting background understand the consequence.
Responsibilities
  • Work on the monthly and annual closing processes of the company's entities, including accruals, reconciliations, and consolidation steps.
  • Own designated closing areas and complete them reliably by the deadline.
  • Ensure that your work is auditable so that another person can understand booked items without your assistance.
  • Build and maintain planning and analysis models covering cost centers, site results, utilization, and variance analyses.
  • Prepare metrics for management so they support decisions rather than merely providing information.
  • Investigate and explain variances instead of only reporting them.
  • Automate recurring steps in financial processes, including data imports from DATEV, reconciliation routines, report generation, and invoice approvals.
  • Build data pipelines so analyses do not need to be manually assembled each time.
  • Document each automation so that a successor can operate and repair it.
  • After six months, own designated closing areas, take over the analysis models and improve at least five of them, and automate at least three recurring manual closing activities.
  • After twelve months, measurably shorten the monthly closing cycle, fully prepare metrics for at least five locations, and put at least ten financial-operations automations into production.
  • After twenty-four months, independently own a defined area of financial operations, serve as its point of contact, and co-own the finance workstream in integrating an acquired company.
