Requirements
  • Proficient in Python with at least three years of experience delivering Python data projects to production.
  • Experience in other languages such as Ruby, PHP, or JavaScript.
  • Experience with the Azure data stack (Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, Tabular Model / DAX, Microsoft Fabric) or strong experience with complementary open source data technologies such as Hadoop, Amazon Glue, Spark, Airflow.
  • Real SQL and NoSQL production experience, particularly with SQL Server, Azure SQL, Azure Synapse, CosmosDB, MongoDB, and Elastic.
  • Experience with Kafka, Cassandra, or any other cloud-based warehouse.
  • Experience with maintaining projects using a distributed version control system such as Git and Github.
  • Experience in automated deployment of pipelines and schema into production environments.
  • Experienced with agile methods and the concepts behind continuous delivery.
  • Experience with security, testing, performance, JSON, and REST.
  • BS in Computer Science, plus equivalent professional experience (3-5 years of delivering production data pipelines).
  • Strong verbal, written and visual presentation skills.
Responsibilities
  • Work collaboratively with other developers to design and deliver the data infrastructure (warehouse, schema, pipelines, OLTP, ETL) that supports CAA’s portfolio of applications and analytics tools.
  • Build and maintain supporting services for the data infrastructure.
  • Develop new data pipelines and APIs in an agile environment.
  • Support the end-to-end lifecycle: design, deployment, test, operations, monitoring and support.
  • Directly interact with the people who are using your applications.
