Great Hill is seeking a Network and Computer Systems Administrator in the DMV area.
This position will entail supporting the Naval Air Systems Command (NavAir), in particular, the Digital Analytics, Infrastructure and Technology Advancement (DAiTA) Group and the Naval Leveraging Innovation, Frameworks and Technology (LIFT) and Integrated Modeling Environment (IME) projects. Specifically, this position will provide support to the Navy Lift and IME service desk documenting the acknowledgement to resolution process of user trouble tickets, providing trouble ticket metrics to program leadership, and consulting new users with plan and software options to support their projects. Additionally, the intermediate Network and Computer Systems administrator may provide support by installation, configuration, and maintenance of an organization’s local area network (LAN), data communications network, operating systems, and physical and virtual servers. Perform System monitoring and verify the integrity and availability of hardware, network, and server resources and systems. Review System and application logs and verify completion of scheduled jobs, including system backups. Analyze network and server resource consumption and control user access. Install and upgrade software and maintain software licenses. May assist in network emulation/virtualization, analysis, planning, and coordination between network and data communications hardware and software.
This position will be a pivotal member in providing support to the Analytic Master Plan (AMP) Digital Platform (DP) and the Naval LIFT project manager. This position will support implementing and integrating capabilities within the Atlassian Suite (including, but not limited to Jira, Confluence, and Big Picture Enterprise), thus enabling end users to have ability to ‘look left’ (review past analysis to develop new insights and refine hypothesis) and ‘look right’ to understand how project plans are integrated in support of Navy’s budget and force design schedules.
Roles and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Implement integrated capabilities within the Atlassian Suite so users have the ability to ‘look left’ (review past analysis to develop new insights and refine hypothesis) and ‘look right’ to understand how project plans are integrated in support of Navy’s budget and force design schedules.
- Assist in executing the strategic goals for the AMP-DP
- Support collaboration and coordination with across multiple commands. Interface with knowledge managers, members of management, and IT professionals within the commands supporting the AMP to gather platform requirements with respect to the integration of people, processes, and data.
- Provide IT support with User setup of CAMEO software and Team Work Cloud (TWC).
- Provide IT Backend “boots on the ground” support for occasional Classified and Unclassified server outages.
- Collaborate with LIFT IT lead and IT POCs from other Navy Orgs to troubleshoot networking issues.
- Assist IT lead and Naval IME team with Software upgrades and infrastructure migrations.
- Perform License key swaps on Flexnet servers and certificate file generation via Keytool.
- Serve as integral team members with the OPNAV staff and the Naval-LIFT Support Team.
- Provide administrative support
- Create and configure user accounts within LIFT and IME TWC databases.
- Update knowledgebase content upon request.
- Provide intermediate level JIRA support
- Create custom project, issues types, screens, fields, groups and associations (field configuration, screen scheme, workflows), mapping schemes (field configuration scheme, issue type screen scheme, and workflow scheme_
- Manage Groups and Group Delegations
- Customize Security Schemes for projects and issue types
- Import and export data from CSV files including issue relationships and dependencies.
- Configure and implement automation based on user needs.
- Configure and maintain issue relationships and dependencies.
- Develop advanced JQL Queries in support of Big Picture, Charts, and Reports.
- Develop and customize service desk customer portal as required.
- Provide intermediate level Confluence Support
- Create Custom Spaces, blogs, how-to-guides, and user notifications.
- Manage Groups and Group Delegations
- Integrate Jira projects with Team Calendars, Reporting, and Charting capabilities to represent Dash boarding requirements developed by senior leadership.
- Develop and maintain professional looking web content and forms which fully integrates with JIRA.
- Provide intermediate level Big Picture Enterprise support
- Support the Gantt, Objectives, and Calendars modules.
- Create custom boxes and portfolios. Configure scope, task structure, scheduling, filters, view templates.
- Fully integrate with existing Jira projects to highlight key relationships and dependencies.
- Customize and maintain security (admins, editors, viewers).
- Develop custom JIRA project synchronization schemes.
- Support Live Views and Scenario Planning.
- Support the testing of new platform capabilities as required to ensure requirements are met with quality solutions.
- Development and maintain training documentation, knowledge bases, and help desks.
- Assist in the development of presentations and point papers for senior leadership.
- Review current AMP-DP business processes and develop recommendations to improve alignment and efficiency in support of leadership goals and objectives.
- Conduct research into the technology requirements for specific AMP-DP projects and propose existing out new Atlassian applications, add-on, or plug-ins as needed.
- Support administrative tasks to include drafting of meeting minutes / actions, development of input for weekly and monthly reports to senior leadership, scheduling of meetings, and the setup / execution for platform demonstrations
Basic Qualifications:
- Extensive teamwork skills in the areas of communication, responsibility, honesty, active listening, empathy, and collaboration.
- Extensive experience administrating Confluence and Jira as well as developing custom tailored solutions with the Atlassian suite of products.
- Experience must include working with clients to develop successful solutions for business management requirements which maximize a positive end user experience for expansion of the user base and connecting people, processes, workflows, and data.
- Candidates must have a minimum of basic knowledge with and be willing to develop these skill sets on the job.
- Candidates must be able to quickly develop a high level of proficiency with this application in support of day-to-day job duties.
- Ability to develop rapid knowledge and understanding of strategic guidance (CNOG, NAVPLAN, and Force Development) and warfare concepts.
- Must have good organizational skills can juggle multiple responsibilities simultaneously, stay focused on deadlines, and handle complex projects efficiently.
- Must be an American Citizen, have at least a TOP SECRET clearance, and be able to obtain a TS / SCI.
- Has a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience
- Bachelors Degree in computer related discipline; Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Information Systems, or Computer Science, from an ABET accredited or CAE designated institution.
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
- Cloud+ or GICSP or SSCP or Security+ or GSEC or equivalent
Desired Skills:
- DoD and Navy or NavAir experience
- Active TS / SCI clearance
- Familiarity with MBSE or Cameo CSM/TWC
- Working level expertise with HTML and JAVA Scripting is highly desired.
- A basic level of expertise with Big Picture and Atlassian tool suite (JIRA, confluence, EasyBI, Etc.) will be required and working level expertise is highly desired.
