Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree (science or business preferred) or equivalent combination of relevant education and applicable job experience
  • MBA preferred
  • Minimum of 15 years progressively responsible experience in pharmaceutical or medical sales and training
  • Minimum of 6 years in a training or sales leadership role
  • Focus on neuroscience preferred
  • Prior pharmaceutical sales experience
  • First-line pharmaceutical/biotech sales management experience
  • Vendor and contract management experience
  • Experience with product launches
  • Long-Term Care and Account Management experience highly desired
  • Demonstrated leadership and teaching/facilitation ability
  • Proven ability in creating effective sales training materials
  • Proven application of adult learning principles
  • Experience in launching a product (Sales, Managed Markets and/or Sales Training) desirable
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to complete verbal and written evaluations of others

  • Project and vendor management experience
  • Professionalism, integrity, and ability to comply with strict policy
  • Skilled at negotiating with business partners or management

  • Ability to travel up to 30% overnight
Responsibilities
  • Developing and maintaining commercial training curriculum and on-boarding processes
  • Overseeing the development, updating, and use of training modules
  • Creating training materials to enhance the learning process
  • Leading the training of field commercial employees
  • Gathering and analyzing data to identify training gaps
  • Managing the training of field staff on sales-related tools
  • Planning sales meetings and developing necessary workshops
  • Facilitating management-level 'train-the-trainer' sessions
  • Owning the ACADIA Selling Model
  • Serving as interim sales or account management as needed
  • Assisting with field coaching, recruiting, and interviewing
  • Partnering in building a career development infrastructure
  • Managing the Learning Management System and vendors
  • Ensuring field commercial employees are trained on policies and procedures
  • Developing and executing the Field colleague Emerging Leaders Program
  • Working with Commercial Leadership on training initiatives
