Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Business with an HR focus or EHS Engineering
  • Requires 3–7 years of progressive professional experience in safety, including training experience
  • Must have the ability to manage projects, collect and analyze data, and track progress
  • Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office and Smartsheet, along with strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills in English/Spanish
Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the implementation and maintenance of SWS and SEWS safety programs. This includes the revision of policies/procedures, delivery of training, accident investigation to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Will conduct daily safety patrols, coordinate site Management safety inspections, communicate findings and coordinates countermeasures and provide response and action to Corporate and SWS Safety Requests.
  • Accident investigation - works with cross functional groups to find root causes and develop countermeasures.
  • Promotes the Employee Suggestion Program to include entering the CIAs in the database to keep accurate records. Assists in the follow-up of CIA implementation with the different departments.
  • Develops and maintains training records to ensure compliance with OSHA standards and worker's compensation.
  • Assist supervisors and managers to determine training needs, alerts for refreshing training.
  • Maintains training material/overall training plan and training master lists.
  • Maintains PPE supplies inventory, first aid supplies and creates requisitions when needed.
  • Performs safety and training audits to ensure compliance.
  • Other duties as assigned.
