- Source alternative Commercial-off-the-Shelf and mil-spec materials to replace obsolete components.
- Review and analyze Bills of Materials and Technical Data Packages to identify critical single-point failures within the supply chain.
- Work with systems, mechanical, and electrical engineers to validate alternate parts and ensure they meet form, fit, and function requirements.
- Collaborate with the Navy, Defense Logistics Agency, government civilians, original equipment manufacturers, and subcontractors to align procurement strategies.
- Develop, maintain, and present tracking metrics, databases, and reports regarding expedited parts, End-of-Life notices, and supplier lead times.
- Assist in reviewing and tracking Government Furnished Information and Government Furnished Equipment.
- Travel to support supplier evaluations, site visits, and new platform configuration planning.
- Participate in cross-discipline program reviews to represent material readiness and supply-chain status.
- Experience with submarine systems, specifically imaging systems.
- Experience or working knowledge of the U.S. Navy SUBSAFE program and policies.
- Familiarity with reading and interpreting engineering drawings, electrical schematics, and mechanical computer-aided design files to support part-substitution efforts.

The Chantilly, Virginia-headquartered company said Tuesday the Navy awarded a potential five-year contract to Rite-Solutions, a federal cybersecurity and IT services provider that Arcfield acquired in December 2025. "With the addition of Rite-Solutions' exceptional talent to our team, we are expanding our ability to deliver sophisticated solutions across all operational domains, and we are proud to play a key role in shaping the Navy's next-generation submarine combat control systems." What will Arcfield provide Under the Navy's CCS contract? Under the contract, Arcfield will deliver a range of technical services, including hardware and software development, systems integration and testing, cybersecurity, and advanced model-based systems engineering at NUWC facilities in Newport, Rhode Island, and at Arcfield's office in Middletown, Rhode Island. The CCS program supports new construction and in-service submarine combat control systems, including the AN/BYG-1. The company is also supporting the Navy's Trident II D5 Life Extension strategic weapon system, or D5LE SWS, program under a $117 million follow-on contract awarded in April. Work on the contract includes digital and systems engineering, independent scientific analysis, and operational support. What capabilities does Arcfield offer customers? Arcfield's subsidiary Orion Space Solutions has secured initial contracts worth over $24 million to deliver more than 25 advanced payloads for an undisclosed space customer. The work encompasses design, manufacturing, testing and calibration of mission-specific instrumentation over multiple years. The contracts have a total potential value exceeding $100 million as batch deliveries are completed. The payloads will enable unprecedented space-based environmental monitoring capabilities, drawing on Orion's decades of experience in sensor technology. Orion will leverage its heritage in advanced sensor development to support next-generation satellite systems and space-based intelligence. Arcfield acquires Rite-Solutions, A navy-focused software and IT development firm. Government technology and mission support provider Arcfield on Tuesday announced it completed the acquisition of the Rhode Island-based Rite-Solutions, which will expand its naval systems expertise. The companies were unwilling to disclose terms of the deal since both companies are privately held. In a statement, Arcfield said this will expand its expertise and national security capabilities, with Rite-Solutions having a specialty in undersea warfare and naval systems that "will perfectly complement Arcfield's existing nuclear surety and missile engineering capabilities." Arcfield, a government technology and mission support provider, has acquired Rhode Island-based Rite-Solutions, a software development, systems engineering and information technology firm. The deal was announced on 16 December following completion of the transaction. The acquisition expands Arcfield's national security capabilities, combining Rite-Solutions' expertise in undersea warfare and naval systems with Arcfield's existing nuclear surety and missile engineering capabilities. The merged organisation aims to provide systems engineering, surveillance, detection and all-domain mission operations support to US government customers. Arcfield chairman and CEO Kevin Kelly said the company is building an organisation positioned to deliver national security support "spanning every domain—from the depths of the ocean floor to the edges of space".
