Responsibilities
  • Design end-to-end fleet management and mission operations experiences, including operator dashboards, task queuing and scheduling interfaces, fleet health monitoring views, and real-time geospatial situational awareness displays.
  • Create wireframes, journey maps, user scenarios, task flows, and personas for robotic fleet operators, mission planners, and field supervisors across commercial and defense deployment contexts.
  • Develop interaction models for multi-robot coordination workflows, including mission assignment, waypoint planning, contingency handling, and operator-initiated override or abort sequences.
  • Produce visual designs from concept to delivery for fleet telemetry displays, alert and notification systems, historical mission analytics views, and robot status summary panels.
  • Build and validate interactive prototypes that demonstrate and integrate fleet management concepts to stakeholders, customers, and engineering teams, incorporating feedback loops to iterate toward optimal operator experiences.
  • Collaborate with program managers, software engineers, and robotics engineers to define and iterate on robot fleet management product features, ensuring security, accessibility, and operational reliability are embedded from the outset.
  • Contribute to and drive adoption of design system components (e.g., map controls, timeline visualizations, status indicators, alert patterns) aligned with Microsoft’s Fluent design language and adapted for robotics operational contexts.
  • Communicate a compelling, convincing product story to leadership and cross-disciplinary audiences, adjusting narrative depending on stakeholder context from technical deep-dives to executive summaries.
  • Estimate design schedules, define and prioritize product design plans, and independently incorporate security, trust, and safety considerations into the user experience for mission-critical robotic operations.
  • Leverage ideation methodologies to lead design solutions for complex fleet operations products involving many constraints (e.g., network latency, intermittent connectivity, multi-domain robot types), balancing business, experience, technology, and security perspectives.
  • Provide guidance to team, ensuring full understanding of the original design vision and linking design decisions to established problems, user needs, and program goals.

  • Demonstrated portfolio of data-dense dashboard design, real-time telemetry visualization, or geospatial mapping interfaces, suitable for engineering and operational insights.
  • Familiarity with robotics operational concepts such as multi-robot task allocation, mission planning, remote teleoperation, or supervisory control of autonomous systems.
  • Experience with AI-accelerated industry tools, such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite, or equivalent prototyping and design tools, with demonstrated ability to create high-fidelity interactive prototypes.
  • Understanding of accessibility standards (WCAG) and inclusive design practices for operational and enterprise software.
  • Experience designing for degraded or contested network environments where latency, intermittent connectivity, and information freshness affect user experience decisions.
  • Experience designing with 3D, spatial, or map-based interfaces.

Microsoft stock dips 0.6% as Maia 200 AI chip could launch in September with $50B quarterly capex

Microsoft fell roughly 0.6% on Tuesday following reports it could launch its next Maia AI processor as early as September. The company has not confirmed the timing but is clearly pursuing greater control over its AI infrastructure rather than relying on external chipmakers. The Maia 200 chip, manufactured by TSMC using a three-nanometre process, contains over 140 billion transistors and delivers 30% better performance per dollar than previous hardware, according to Microsoft. Deployment has begun in Iowa, with Arizona data centres next. The move addresses mounting AI costs from Copilot, Azure and OpenAI workloads. Microsoft shares traded at $502.61 on 11 August, 12.69% below the GF Value estimate of $575.66. The company expects roughly $50 billion in capital spending this quarter. Success hinges on whether custom chips can sufficiently reduce AI costs to justify the enormous investment.

ZoomInfo integrates B2B data with Microsoft Copilot Studio, Dynamics 365, Excel and Word

ZoomInfo has launched a connector for Microsoft Copilot Studio, enabling customers to access its B2B intelligence data directly within Microsoft 365 Copilot, Dynamics 365, Excel, and Word. The integration allows sales teams to use natural language to search companies, identify contacts, and enrich account information without switching between applications. The connector works through GTM.AI, ZoomInfo's data layer that connects to multiple platforms including Salesforce Agentforce, HubSpot Breeze, and Gong. In Dynamics 365, users can enrich records with verified contacts and intent signals. Excel users can generate target audience lists, whilst Word can create account plans using live ZoomInfo data. Access requires appropriate ZoomInfo accounts, Microsoft licences, and administrator approval. ZoomInfo reports customers save 11.5 hours weekly on account research using its intelligence platform, which covers 100 million companies and 500 million contacts.

Greg Abel may buy Microsoft stock despite Warren Buffett's decades-long avoidance due to conflict concerns
