Requirements
  • An active DoD Secret Clearance
  • A Master’s degree
  • 15 years of relevant experience
  • Knowledge of DoD civilian personnel policy and planning is highly desired
  • Experience with government workforce databases well as familiarity with Service Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) tools
  • Ability to identify skill shortfalls develop mitigation plans
  • A track record of proven oral and written communication skills
  • The ability to travel up to 10%
  • Experience communicating, interfacing, and interacting with representatives from the Joint Staff, military service staffs, inventory control points, and organic depots to assess skill requirements needed to support DoD weapon systems, including outlining recommendations to address any shortfalls
Responsibilities
  • Support the update, staffing, and publication of the DoD Logistics Human Capital Strategy documentation
  • Utilizing existing workforce data (e.g., Advana), develop and identify talent management metrics and tools to improve the effectiveness of DoD workforce career development and talent management
  • Coordinate and support the development of enterprise career path and road map models for wage grade, general schedule and the senior executive service
  • Develop and maintain a training catalog for the LFC that identifies training and career development opportunities for wage grade, general schedule, and members of the Senior Executive Service
  • Coordinate and oversee the development and periodic refresh of enterprise LFC competency models
  • Manage admissions and funding for the Logistics and Technology (LOGTECH) courses with the Institute for Defense and Business
  • Assess the talent management programs for the recruiting, retention, and development of DoD Component logistic workforce
  • Identify, develop, and coordinate strategies and initiatives to recruit, develop, and retain required skillsets for the Organic Industrial Base workforce
