Requirements
  • Redwood Materials is seeking a NPI Engineer to join our Copper Foil/Anode Materials Business Unit. We are amid a massive wave of innovation, design, investment, and execution and are looking for someone enthusiastic to join our team! You will help us solve and manage project development to grow our impact of lowering the lifecycle costs and environmental impact of batteries
  • You will use your experience from your engineering background to understand and help manage our process and equipment designs, procurement strategies, construction, and manufacturing ramp up. Your knowledge of the capital project and new product lifecycles means you can effectively help manage the team with speed, safety, and quality to meet our plans
  • You will work with the various engineering leads (process, mechanical, controls, materials, manufacturing) along with other functional teams (procurement, construction, finance). There is significant professional growth opportunity within this role dependent on the person's ability and performance
Responsibilities
  • Understanding, managing, reporting, and helping to solve issues throughout the development lifecycle of an industrial project
  • Designing and owning the tools and methods for tracking project progress and effectively communicating to the rest of the organization
  • Technically capable and comfortable with some engineering where needed, but always conscious of the big picture and delivery of overall project
Desired Qualifications
  • BS in engineering discipline or practical demonstration of equivalent
  • A world-class teammate unphased by uncertainty and motivated by our mission
  • Hands-on during crunch time but comfortable communicating to senior colleagues
  • Demonstration of design experience in industrial environment (discipline agnostic)
  • Demonstration of creating, maintaining, and communicating schedules and budgets
  • Experience with the capital project lifecycle, including process/equipment validation
  • Understanding of the product development lifecycle
  • 3D CAD experience preferred
