Job Description
We are seeking a Senior Underwriter with a strong background in Middle Market lending to join our Credit Underwriting team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in underwriting apparel and related companies and experience in asset-based lending stracture. Experience with healthcare industry write-ups is a plus. This role requires strong analytical skills, the ability to multi-task, and the capability to work efficiently under tight deadlines while ensuring high-quality credit assessments.

Key Responsibilities
Financial & Credit Analysis
- Conduct comprehensive financial statement reviews and assess cash flow trends.
- Develop detailed cash flow and sensitivity analyses to evaluate borrowers' financial health.
- Structure credit facilities that align with risk parameters and client needs.
- Prepare loan pricing and profitability models that optimize risk-adjusted returns.
Underwriting & Structuring
- Lead underwriting efforts for middle-market companies, with a preference for apparel and related industries.
- Participate in client meetings, assessing financing needs and structuring optimal credit solutions.
- Identify key risks in transactions and develop thoughtful risk mitigation strategies.
- Prepare well-structured credit approval packages, articulating a clear risk assessment and recommendation.
Collaboration & Growth
- Partner closely with relationship managers and credit risk teams to drive deal flow.
- Contribute to process improvements and best practices within the team.
- Assist with special projects as needed, supporting strategic initiatives.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience in C&I underwriting, preferably with exposure to apparel and related industries.
- Experience in asset-based lending (ABL) is a plus.
- Experience with healthcare industry write-ups is a plus.
Technical & Analytical Skills
- Strong understanding of C&I loan structures, credit facilities, and risk assessment.
- Proficiency in financial statement analysis, cash flow modeling, and collateral evaluation.
- Experience in assessing field exams, inventory, and intellectual property (IP) appraisals.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
- Ability to multi-task and effectively prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in financial analysis tools and Microsoft Office Suite.

Compensation
The expected annual base salary for this position is between $110,000 - $175,000 at the start of employment. A salary offer is determined on an individualized basis, taking into consideration factors such as an individual’s skills, experience, and book of business. In addition to base salary, our total rewards package also includes eligibility for incentive compensation, medical, pharmacy, dental, and vision plans, life and disability insurance, employee wellness program, retirement and savings plans with employer contributions, generous holiday and paid time off schedules, parental leave, and tuition reimbursement.
