Requirements
  • Three or more years of experience as an automotive technician or mechanic.
  • Ability to diagnose and repair all makes and models of vehicles.
  • Ability to meet or exceed hourly goals.
  • Aptitude for learning additional skills and processes.
  • Professional appearance and strong communication skills.
  • Ability to occasionally lift or move more than 100 pounds.
  • Ability to work with tools on vehicles lifted above the technician's head.
  • Ability to work in tight spaces dictated by the vehicle's needed repair.
  • Dexterity to efficiently use hand tools.
  • Ability to walk and stand for the majority of the workday.
  • Ability to drive vehicles with manual transmissions.
  • Ability to efficiently navigate a computer.
Responsibilities
  • Use automotive knowledge and skills to diagnose and repair vehicles for customers.
  • Build experience as an automotive mechanic across a wide range of domestic and foreign vehicles.
  • Complete full, accurate, and honest courtesy vehicle inspections.
  • Work as part of a team to troubleshoot customer concerns quickly and effectively.
  • Follow and promote high standards of safety, cleanliness, and organization.
  • Work closely with the service department to communicate customer concerns effectively.
  • Work with other technicians to solve problems, meet deadlines, and deliver results.
Desired Qualifications
  • Master L1 or A-level technician qualification.
  • ASE certifications or a plan to achieve them.
  • Desire for long-term career development.
