Requirements
  • A master's degree in social work or a social science-related discipline and at least five years of post-graduate direct service delivery experience working with youth and trauma-informed care; licensure is preferred.
  • Alternatively, a master's degree in psychology, counseling, or another relevant behavioral science in which clinical training and experience is a program requirement.
  • At least three years of experience working with immigrant youth, unaccompanied children, and families.
  • At least two years of supervisory experience.
  • Understanding of complex family relationships and dynamics, with the ability to review case files and assess and document information from a variety of sources.
  • Experience working with the Microsoft Office suite.
  • Fluency in English and Spanish.
  • Tier 2 security clearance or the ability to obtain such clearance.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities, perspectives, and stakeholder needs.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple activities simultaneously in a fast-paced, changing environment.
  • Strong verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated professionalism, judgment, and discretion.
Responsibilities
  • Lead multiple teams of Case Coordinators working with care-provider and federal staff to make recommendations regarding the release or transfer of unaccompanied children and related case consultations.
  • Provide oversight and supervision of Direct Operations Coordinators and their assigned teams, including consultation and staffing on complex cases elevated by teams in assigned geographic regions.
  • Provide input on clinical, safety, and well-being issues involving behavioral and mental health, physical health, juvenile justice, and other specialized needs that affect care and release or transfer decisions.
  • Identify and elevate emerging trends and issues identified by Case Coordinators and Direct Operations Coordinators to the Lead Supervisory Case Coordinator.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for elevated cases from Direct Operations Case Coordinators and engage with federal staff as needed.
  • Supervise and evaluate Direct Operations Coordinators in the assigned regional area.
  • Support training and performance management of Case Coordinators and Direct Operations Coordinators with the ICF operations team.
  • Conduct on-site visits of program teams for supervision purposes.
  • Cover teams as needed and perform other duties related to case coordination, safe and timely release, and related ORR needs.
Desired Qualifications
  • Knowledge of migrant and refugee issues, particularly those related to unaccompanied children, sponsor families, and the processes and documentation required for sponsor release.
  • Working knowledge of challenges related to unaccompanied children's placement, release, and post-release services.
  • Experience working for a refugee program.
  • Experience in children's mental or behavioral health or juvenile justice programs.
  • Prior work experience in a consulting environment.
  • Project management skills, particularly for technical-assistance project management.
