Job Description Summary
This position will serve as a Behavioral Health Coordinator for the MUSC Boeing Center for Children’s Wellness (BCCW). The Coordinator will support the integration of mental/behavioral health services in school districts supported by MUSC BCCW including the Handle with Care (HWC) program. The Coordinator will be responsible for regional coordination of and the operational success of the HWC program within the Lowcountry region. Under the supervision of the MUSC BCCW Mental Health Project Manager, this role ensures seamless team support, program implementation, quality control, and evaluation of the HWC program at the regional level. The position requires close coordination with law enforcement, educational boards, school personnel, mental health professionals, social services agencies, and other systemic and community resource providers at both the state and local levels. The coordinator will work in collaboration with the statewide HWC Team to maintain and expand the initiative across the region.

Job Summary: This position will serve as a Behavioral Health Coordinator for the MUSC Boeing Center for Children’s Wellness (BCCW). The Coordinator will be responsible for regional coordination of and the operational success of the HWC program within the Lowcountry region. The coordinator will work in collaboration with the statewide HWC Team to maintain and expand the initiative across the region.
This position will be remote, with occasional requirements to meet on campus and at local schools and first responder locations for in-person meetings.
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: A bachelor’s degree andtwo yearsrelevant program experience. A master’s degree in a social service field is preferred.
Preferred Experience and Training: Prefer candidates who have knowledge of behavioral health organizations, practices, and resources. Ability to communicate effectively with a multidisciplinary team, and community providers including law enforcement and first responders to coordinate activities and systems. Ability to establish good working relationships and knowledge of psychosocial practices related to coordinated and systematized youth care. Applicants should be proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and virtual data-management systems. Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage complex, multifaceted projects that result in measurable successes and program growth. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including public speaking and training skills.
Job Duties:
35% - Program Implementation and Delivery: Coordinate the implementation of the HWC program across the Lowcountry region, ensuring alignment with statewide goals and objectives. Oversee the delivery of HWC services, including training, support, and resources to law enforcement, schools, and community partners. Monitor program activities to ensure they meet established standards and deliver intended outcomes.
35% - Coordination and Collaboration: Serve as the primary point of contact for the HWC program in the Lowcountry region, liaising with law enforcement, school personnel, mental health professionals, social services agencies, and other stakeholders. Build and maintain strong relationships with key partners to ensure effective collaboration and support for the HWC initiative. Represent the HWC program at regional meetings, conferences, and other events as needed.
25% - Quality Control and Evaluation: Develop and implement processes for ongoing evaluation and improvement of the HWC program in the region. Collect, analyze, and report on data related to program performance and outcomes, providing regular updates to the statewide HWC Team. Identify opportunities for program expansion and enhancement based on evaluation findings.
