Position Overview:

Primarily responsible for the delivery of occupational medicine services and provision of new hire candidate post offer/ pre-employment medical assessments. Secondarily responsible for the oversight of clinical services provided by clinic NP/PAs.
Responsible for the medical leadership for provision of services to Sutter Employees. Assures that clinical services delivered are compliant with all laws and regulations.

Job Description:

*** The ideal candidate has 3yrs experience inOccupational Health, completing PR-4 reports, and the oversight of advanced practice clinicians. ****

EDUCATION:

• Doctorate

CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE:

• MD-Doctor of Medicine M.D. or D.O. Degree with Post Graduate training in Occupational Medicine

• DO- Doctor of Osteopathy M.D. or D.O. Degree with Post Graduate training in Occupational Medicine

• MRO Certification Physician MRO-Medical Review Officer (within 6 months of hire)

TYPICAL EXPERIENCE:

• 3 years Occupational Health experience.

• 8 years recent relevant experience.

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:

• Maintains a valid license to practice medicine
• Works collaboratively with other physician leaders.
• Coordinates issues which may be unclear regarding responsibility
• Maintains the highest standards of professionalism consistent with established policies and procedures
• Accepts responsibility for all properly assigned tasks.
• Accepts criticism well and makes sincere efforts to improve.
• Knowledge of treatment and prevention of disease.
• Good rapport, able to build trust with patients
• Ability to effectively collaborate with other staff
• Understands medical management principles and practices, financial processes, medical operations and planning (business and strategic), public relations
• Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing; negotiation skills; must be familiar with  word processing and spreadsheet software; ability to analyze and interpret data and prepare concise accurate reports; flexibility in varying situations; ability to work independently and effectively under pressure; ability to organize and prioritize duties; ability to work well with other senior administrative and medical staff; willingness to travel as required; project management skills.

Pay Range is $110.47 to $176.76 / hour

The salary range for this role may vary above or below the posted range as determined by location. This range has not been adjusted for any specific geographic differential applicable by area where the position may be filled. Compensation takes into account several factors including but not limited to a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure and certifications, department equity, training and organizational needs. Base pay is just one piece of the total rewards program offered by Sutter Health. Eligible roles also qualify for a comprehensive benefits package. ​
