Requirements
  • Board Certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner.
  • Maintain an active license to practice in the state(s) where patients reside and/or be willing to become licensed in other states.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to providing evidence-based care, advancing clinical skills, and participating in professional development.
  • Communicate effectively with patients and patients' carers, and respond to messages within a timely manner.
  • Be willing to participate in a multidisciplinary team.
  • Have comfort and experience treating patients with eating disorders, emotion dysregulation, suicidal ideation, substance use, trauma, mood disorders, anxiety disorders, personality disorders, and attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder.
  • Be able to provide direct patient care, including new-patient and follow-up sessions.
  • Be able to work until 6 p.m. two evenings per week and attend mandatory meetings.
  • Work Pacific Time Zone hours.
Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive psychiatric assessments and ongoing medication management for psychiatrically complex patients with eating disorders and co-occurring psychiatric conditions.
  • Provide comprehensive psychiatric assessments and consultation to outside psychiatric providers for ongoing treatment.
  • Implement medication treatment plans for individuals with eating disorders and co-occurring conditions in a telehealth setting.
  • Evaluate eating-disorder-related medical risk within the psychiatric scope of care, including effects on psychiatric symptoms, medication decisions, safety, and level-of-care needs.
  • Collaborate with medical providers, dietitians, therapists, patient mentors, family mentors, and outside providers.
  • Use between-session messaging to support patients and communicate with the treatment team through Equip's electronic medical record in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Participate in treatment-team meetings, supervision, learning opportunities, and department meetings.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Desired Qualifications
  • An active advanced practice provider license in California, Oregon, or Washington.
  • Experience or training in evidence-based eating-disorder treatments, including Family-Based Treatment, Enhanced Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Avoidant/Restrictive Food Intake Disorder.
