Requirements
  • A minimum of 5 years of front-end development experience.
  • Experience designing and writing high-quality code, with code samples available for discussion.
  • Experience with high-performance, high-scale web applications, test-driven development, JSON, HTTP, HTML, CSS3, and REST.
  • Knowledge of JavaScript and frameworks including Bootstrap, Backbone.js, Ember.js, and Angular.js.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Groovy and Python.
  • Fundamental understanding of web applications.
  • Experience with Agile software development methodologies, especially Scrum and Extreme Programming.
  • Experience with continuous integration environments, continuous delivery, and test-driven development.
  • Experience with service-oriented architectures such as REST and web services.
  • Experience with JavaScript UI frameworks such as AngularJS.
  • Experience unit testing JavaScript with testing frameworks such as Jasmine.
Responsibilities
  • Lead UI development for a Scrum team.
  • Contribute to the overall software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering and analysis, design, development technologies, release and version control, testing, and deployment.
  • Perform application testing of components, modifications, and overall systems.
  • Assist in task planning, estimation, and scheduling.
  • Review the work of other peers on project teams.
  • Partner closely with team members and other teams to ensure that Scripps user experience standards and guidelines are utilized.
  • Mentor junior developers.

  • Contribution to the open-source community.
