- Knowledge of JavaScript and frameworks including Bootstrap, Backbone.js, Ember.js, and Angular.js.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Groovy and Python.
- Fundamental understanding of web applications.
- Experience with Agile software development methodologies, especially Scrum and Extreme Programming.
- Experience with continuous integration environments, continuous delivery, and test-driven development.
- Experience with service-oriented architectures such as REST and web services.
- Experience with JavaScript UI frameworks such as AngularJS.
- Experience unit testing JavaScript with testing frameworks such as Jasmine.
- Lead UI development for a Scrum team.
- Contribute to the overall software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering and analysis, design, development technologies, release and version control, testing, and deployment.
- Perform application testing of components, modifications, and overall systems.
- Assist in task planning, estimation, and scheduling.
- Review the work of other peers on project teams.
- Partner closely with team members and other teams to ensure that Scripps user experience standards and guidelines are utilized.
- Mentor junior developers.
- A college degree in a technical or design field, or equivalent experience.
- Contribution to the open-source community.
