Requirements
  • A high school diploma or GED is required.
  • At least 2 years of land survey experience in a Survey Technician capacity is required.
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D is required.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with coworkers, the supervisor, and others is required.
  • Willingness and ability to work in an office and perform occasional field work is required.
Responsibilities
  • Perform primarily office-based work with occasional field work.
  • Work on land development, site development, and public works projects.
  • Draft survey projects using AutoCAD Civil 3D or Bentley MicroStation.
  • Create digital terrain models from field survey data.
  • Review and check work for quality control.
  • Conduct deed research.
  • Work under the direct supervision of a Professional Land Surveyor.
  • Identify potential problems and conflicts and bring them to the supervisor’s attention.
Desired Qualifications
  • Specialized vocational training.
  • Knowledge of Trimble Business Center.
  • Knowledge of MicroStation, including InRoads and GeoPak.
