We are looking for a Head of Marketing to:
Develop Searchlight’s positioning, messaging, and distinct identity
Execute marketing campaigns to support GTM efforts across the lead funnel: TOFU, MOFU, BOFU
Establish Searchlight as a thought leader in the talent tech landscape
Build our Marketing function as a key pillar for our ARR growth & product development
Partner directly with our founders and cross-functional leaders in Sales, Product, and Customer Success
Build the Searchlight company and culture as an essential member of the founding team
You probably have:
6-10 years of functional experience in marketing
Prior experience in product marketing and at least one other functional speciality, such as content marketing or growth marketing
Prior experience at a Series A to C startup, with a strong desire to do it again

+ Research customer segments, competitive landscape, and associated value props
+ Familiarize yourself with Searchlight’s product, use cases, and customer implementations
+ Embed yourself across GTM and EPD work cadences
+ Write 1 piece of content
+ Kick off 1 experiment sprint for Searchlight’s framing (buyer + message + product)
Within 1 month
+ Become expert on our market & product offering: customers, opportunities, threats, ecosystem
+ Deeply understand our present and future product solutions, and the direction of our roadmap
+ Have learned from the initial marketing experiment sprints and proposed the next of messaging & positioning experiments
+ Own our marketing tech stack and lead funnel
Within 3 months
+ Have developed a strong muscle for marketing experimentation across multiple channels, tied to top-priority business metrics like lead generation, marketing qualified leads, deal close ratios
+ Become expert on Searchlight’s product and market
+ Proactively build collateral for product and sales enablement, such as demo videos, product pages, and sales decks
+ Build a cohesive narrative for Searchlight: TOFU, MOFU, BOFU
Beyond
As an early-stage startup, it’s difficult to project beyond 3 months into the future.
We believe that marketing should be a core pillar at Searchlight, essential to both revenue generation and product development.
We will partner closely to decide marketing goals beyond 90 days.
How We’ll Take Care of You
This role is based in San Francisco at our FiDi office. We are a hybrid team, while our SF team works from the office 3x/week.
$175,000-$225,000 annual base salary with significant equity
