Blackpoint Cyber names Jacob Yavil Chief Financial Officer. April 6, 2026 Jacob Yavil Blackpoint Cyber, a leader in managed detection and response, today announced the appointment of Jacob Yavil as Chief Financial Officer. Yavil brings more than two decades of finance leadership across private equity-backed and publicly traded technology companies, with a track record of scaling operations, building and operating internationally, executing M&A strategies, and driving profitable growth. He joins Blackpoint at a pivotal moment as the company accelerates international expansion, scales its CompassOne platform, and pursues strategic acquisitions. Yavil joins Blackpoint from Netwrix, a TA Associates and Centerbridge Partners-backed data security and identity security platform, where he served as President and CFO. During his tenure, the company completed eight acquisitions and scaled significantly while maintaining strong profitability, and Yavil led a successful minority recapitalization with Centerbridge in 2023. Previously, he served as CFO at Innovative Interfaces, where he led the company through a successful sale to Ex Libris Group, and as VP of Finance at publicly traded Model N. Yavil began his career with a nine-year run at PwC, rising from Associate to Director across audit and transaction services. "Jacob is exactly the kind of leader we need for this next stage," said Gagan Singh, Chief Executive Officer at Blackpoint Cyber. "He's navigated complex global acquisitions, knows the cybersecurity industry well, and will help us scale smartly so we can continue delivering world-class protection for our customers as we accelerate our growth. We couldn't be more excited to welcome him to the team." "Blackpoint is tackling a massive and rapidly expanding market, and the growth opportunity ahead is what drew me in," said Jacob Yavil, Chief Financial Officer at Blackpoint Cyber. "It's a privilege to partner with Gagan, the executive team, and a group whose intelligence-grade roots form the foundation of everything we do. My immediate focus will be getting to know the Blackpoint team and building deep relationships with our customers and partners. What inspires me most is the mission at the center of all of it: keeping our partners safe in a threat landscape that never stops evolving." Yavil's appointment builds on a series of leadership investments at Blackpoint, including the naming of Gagan Singh as CEO in June 2025, with founder Jon Murchison transitioning to Executive Chairman to focus on product innovation and partner engagement. With a leadership team drawing from the NSA, McAfee, Norton, and Netwrix, Blackpoint is building the depth to help its customers and partners win the fight against cyber adversaries, and the operational infrastructure to scale its platform, expand globally, and deliver better security outcomes to every organization it serves. About Blackpoint Cyber Blackpoint Cyber was founded by former NSA cybersecurity experts with one purpose: to win the unfair fight. Blackpoint delivers Managed Detection and Response (MDR) through a 24/7 SOC that combines detection at AI speed with elite human expertise, giving organizations real defense against sophisticated threat actors. Its CompassOne platform unifies identity, endpoint, and cloud into a single context-rich environment, enabling decisive response before attacks escalate. We measure security by threats stopped, not alerts generated.
Netwrix has announced new capabilities in its 1Secure platform to provide visibility and governance over how AI agents and assistants, including Microsoft Copilot, access sensitive data. The updates address growing concerns that AI systems can expose confidential information by using existing identity permissions. The platform combines identity context with data discovery and access monitoring across hybrid environments. New features in Netwrix Access Analyzer identify excessive permissions and risky identity relationships, whilst expanded discovery capabilities help locate sensitive data across collaboration platforms and cloud environments. The platform also detects suspicious activity from machine identities and service accounts used by AI agents. Netwrix Auditor, now available as a SaaS offering, provides Copilot activity monitoring, readiness assessments and audit trails for AI interactions to support governance and regulatory compliance.
Nick Dahm and Sasha Yendle step into expanded leadership roles at Netwrix. Netwrix has named Nick Dahm as Chief Financial Officer and promoted Sasha Yendle to Chief People Officer, strengthening its executive leadership team. The appointments come as organizations increasingly look for a more unified strategy to manage identity and data security. "Nick and Sasha strengthen our executive team at a pivotal stage in our growth," said Grady Summers, CEO of Netwrix. "We've built strong momentum over the past year, and this next phase is about sharpening our focus and execution. As identity becomes central to protecting data in AI-driven environments, their leadership ensures we scale with discipline, invest in our people, and continue delivering meaningful outcomes for our customers." Nick Dahm joins Netwrix as Chief Financial Officer, and he brings extensive experience leading finance and operations in high-growth SaaS organizations, most recently serving as CFO at Salesloft, where he helped guide the company through periods of rapid scale and expansion. In his role at Netwrix, Dahm will oversee finance and IT, supporting disciplined investment, operational rigor, and long-term value creation as the company continues to scale its identity and data security platform. "From my first conversations with Netwrix's leadership team and the board, I felt a deep alignment with the company's vision: having recently led an organization through a cyber breach I have a personal appreciation for the value of our mission," said Nick Dahm, Chief Financial Officer at Netwrix. "I'm excited to join the team to build upon a foundation of consistent growth and product excellence, while leading a finance function that supports our next chapter of global scale." Netwrix also announced the promotion of Sasha Yendle to Chief People Officer. Since joining Netwrix as Vice President of Human Resources, Yendle has played a central role in strengthening and professionalizing the company's people operations. Her work includes implementing a new HR system, launching a new company rewards program, introducing a structured performance review process, and supporting the opening of Netwrix's Krakow office. "Our people are central to how Netwrix grows, and as Chief People Officer, my focus is on elevating talent and building the people practices that support scale," said Sasha Yendle, Chief People Officer at Netwrix. "By partnering closely with our leaders and listening to our employees, we're ensuring that Netwrix continues to be an attractive place for employees to grow their careers around the world."

At Netwrix, he will oversee finance and IT functions, supporting operational discipline and long-term value creation. Dahm cited personal experience with cyber breaches as motivation for joining the company's mission. Yendle, previously vice president of human resources, has led improvements in people operations, including implementing new HR systems and performance review processes. Netwrix serves over 13,000 customers globally, including nearly 25% of Fortune 500 companies.
