  • A bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Strategy, Market Research, Public Policy, International Affairs, or a related field is required.
  • At least 8 years of progressive leadership experience in strategic planning, competitive intelligence, corporate strategy, market research, business strategy, management consulting, or a related field is required.
  • Demonstrated expertise in identifying, analyzing, and interpreting external trends, market dynamics, and emerging disruptions to identify strategic opportunities and risks.
  • Proven ability to conduct competitive intelligence and assess markets, industries, and competitive landscapes to inform partnership strategy, business priorities, and executive decision-making.
  • Strong experience evaluating and synthesizing diverse qualitative and quantitative sources into actionable insights supporting business development strategy and executive decision-making.
  • Experience leading scenario planning, future-state modeling, and hypothesis development to inform long-term strategy, business planning, and organizational preparedness.
  • Ability to engage and facilitate stakeholders, communicate complex insights in narrative form, guide strategic discussions, and influence decision-making across the organization.
  • Strong analytical, communication, research, and strategic thinking capabilities, including experience leveraging artificial-intelligence-enabled research tools and translating trend analysis and market intelligence into actionable recommendations, enterprise plans, and business strategies.
  • Regular and reliable job attendance is required.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills are required.
  • Ability to work effectively in an office or open-office environment with moderate noise.
Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver foresight by evaluating and cultivating a deep understanding of external trends that present threats or opportunities.
  • Survey and define the competitive and external landscape, and maintain an independent point of view to mitigate blind spots.
  • Identify the organization's most pressing strategic intelligence needs through rigorous evaluation of external sources and collection of internal intelligence.
  • Describe and envision possible future scenarios to support strategy and planning development, understand organizational competencies, assets, and business models, and frame hypotheses around potential implications.
  • Support critical stakeholder engagement in response to emerging external realities, facilitate dialogue and decision-making, foster engagement with findings, and induce action.
  • Cultivate reliable and credible qualitative and quantitative, primary and secondary, textual and human sources of trend information, and surface internal collective intelligence on key trends and topics.
  • Synthesize foresight, trend analysis, and scenario work into actionable enterprise plans by defining implications, making recommendations, authoring communications, and facilitating discussions that guide strategic choices and delivery alignment.
  • Exercise independent judgment when evaluating options and making decisions.
  • Maintain professional relationships by demonstrating respect and understanding of others.
