Bruker Corporation has announced a majority investment in MIMETAS B.V., a Dutch developer of organ-on-a-chip platforms and human tissue models for drug discovery and development. The deal expands Bruker's portfolio into Microphysiological Systems, which use human physiology-relevant model systems for disease research. MIMETAS develops scalable organ-on-a-chip platforms that enable researchers to study disease mechanisms in perfused, biologically relevant systems. Its OrganoPlate platform combines standard microtiter-plate format with membrane-free microfluidic tissue cultures, supporting imaging and automated workflows.
