Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field of study preferred. Documented education in the areas of network analysis and support from an accredited organization required.
  • Epic certification in relevant area required.
  • Five (5) years’ experience in the computer networking field, within the last two (2) years, including maintaining and administering data and voice networks.
  • Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures of data integration.
  • Working knowledge and experience with Microsoft operating systems, systems security management practices and HP hardware.
Responsibilities
  • Designs, creates, tests, and implements interface solutions as required.
  • Provides project management services for the implementation of new HL7 interfaces along with upgrading and modifications to existing interfaces.
  • Evaluate potential systems in regard to cost and feasibility for integration with the existing environment.
  • Forecast future interface and resource needs as it pertains to upgrades, purchases, regulatory requirements and best practice.
  • Proactive monitoring of interfaces and interface performance with ability to identify problem areas. Investigates interface errors and coordinates issues with necessary parties to resolve issues.
  • Ensures proper system configuration and functional performance of interfaces between Hospital’s HCIS and other non-HCIS systems.
  • Provides system integration and support to various team customers to integrate Meditech with other IT applications and systems. Provide extensive coordination with other IT team members and potential vendors to be interfaced.
  • Management and maintenance of interface engine.
  • Analyze and resolve technical problems for established networks. Troubleshoot and resolve network production problems. This includes working as a team member to ensure connectivity and compatibility between systems. May also require working with vendors to resolve complex network problems.
  • Coordinate repair or maintenance of server related hardware.
  • Installs, configures, monitors, troubleshoots, and replaces virtual server infrastructure, and physical infrastructure. Substantial knowledge of servers in order to recommend upgrades, patches, and new applications and equipment.
  • Manage a virtual server infrastructure consisting of local and remote data centers and clusters. Provide backup and data security, knowledge of VMware technologies is essential.
  • Performs system backups and recovery. Maintains data files and monitors system configuration to ensure data integrity. Analyzes network, sub-network hardware, software configurations, and performs systems diagnostics.
  • Responds to events such as system reboots, outages, server alerts, and complex system alerts. Proactive planning and coordination of efforts in order to ensure continuity of operations, in effect minimize unscheduled downtime including business continuity planning and disaster recovery planning and testing.
  • Coordinate projects for new software installations and upgrades.
  • Contributes to the development and continual improvement of the change management process.
  • Serves as the technical lead for the IT Integration group.
  • Monitors common and individual work queues. Completes or escalates incidents and service requests in a timely fashion. Provides escalation assistance to all IT team members.
  • Promotes specialized skills and knowledge through support, training and development of staff members.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
