  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering (ABET-accredited)
  • 10+ years of experience for Lead-level candidates
  • 15+ years of experience for Senior-level candidates
  • Experience in design firms, operating companies, or construction within the life sciences sector
  • Strong knowledge of industry regulations and local building codes
Responsibilities
  • Lead discipline design efforts and manage budgets on large, complex projects
  • Collaborate with Project Managers on proposals, staffing plans, and schedules
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, internal teams, and external partners
  • Conduct quality reviews of technical documents and ensure compliance with project standards
  • Direct and mentor engineering staff across all experience levels
  • Deliver internal training presentations to support discipline development
  • Lead or contribute to advanced project activities, including:
  • Utility room layout and pipe routing space planning
  • Capacity planning and expansion strategy
  • Vendor package management
  • Risk assessments (e.g., HAZOPs, HCCPs)
  • 3D model reviews and coordination
  • Site walkdowns and field reporting
  • Commissioning and startup support
