Responsibilities
Assist elderly residents, convalescents, and individuals with disabilities with daily living activities in a care facility setting.
Assist residents with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, eating, mobility, positioning, and other personal care and daily living needs.
Prepare, serve, and assist residents with meals and snacks as needed.
Monitor residents and promptly report changes in condition, incidents, or concerns to the appropriate supervisor.
Participate in and support the facility’s Activities Program.
Communicate respectfully with residents, families, coworkers, and management regarding resident needs and care.
Follow care plans and accurately document required resident care and observations.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized living environment, including light housekeeping duties.
Collaborate with caregivers, MedTechs, nurses, office staff, and other departments to provide resident care.
Attend required monthly and quarterly in-services and complete all required training.
Maintain confidentiality, respect residents’ privacy and dignity, and follow company policies and procedures.
Follow the facility’s Program Design for residents with developmental disabilities.
Complete specialized training as required for residents with developmental disabilities.
Support goals outlined in each resident’s Individual Program Plan (IPP).
Maintain accurate progress notes documenting IPP objectives and accomplishments.
