Program Experience
CSL Behring’s Internship Program is a hands-on experience that showcases the daily innovation and operations of a leading biotechnology company. The 12-week intern experience will immerse students in meaningful, thought-provoking projects that contribute to CSL’s promise to save lives and protect the health of people around the world. In addition to making an impact, students will be developed personally and professionally while cultivating meaningful relationships. As an intern, you will have the opportunity to participate in leadership & development seminars, a structured mentorship program, community service, and team-building activities designed specifically for you.
Position
Gain valuable professional experience in internal and external communications, event planning, community outreach, and customer service skills in a growing global biotherapeutics company. Intern will also learn about local not-for-profit organizations in Kankakee County.
Responsibilities
Prepare weekly KankakeeNews Newsletter by writing articles, taking photos, interviewing employees, etc.Software used to create Newsletter is Campaign Monitor which can be easily learned.
Assist with preparation and implementation of special events, including developing promotional materials..
Provide writing support for materials including website, social media, electronic bulletin boards, stories, and CSL NOW.May also assist with updating and maintaining these communication vehicles..
Assist with fundraising events the Giving for Good Committee implements for local not-for-profit organizations along with patient organizations..
Assist with clerical work such as invoice processing.
Coordinating community outreach tours, check presentations, and photos.
Qualifications
Enrolled in a 4-year university with progression toward an undergraduate or graduate degree in communications, journalism or related field
Students with Junior or Senior standing are preferred.
Student must have completed sophomore year at the beginning of summer, 2023.
Experience
Microsoft Office suite skills required.
Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) skills preferred.
Photography skills preferred.
Competencies
Strong written, verbal, analytical and interpersonal skills required. Must display maturity and a high level of professionalism. Demonstrates acceptance of responsibility, shows pride in work performed, demonstrates flexibility and acceptance of assignments and schedules. Maintains professional behavior and appearance. Exhibits dependability. Strong organizational skills.Able to work well with diverse groups. Self-starter; able to make decisions independently.
