BASIC FUNCTION:
The Associate Registrar for Registration and Transfer Articulation serves as a key member in the Office of the University Registrar with primary responsibility for the evaluation and articulation of transfer credits according to established University policies, coordinating the registration process, final exam scheduling, withdrawal and leave of absence, readmission, and Consortium, domestic and foreign exchange. Supports quality student-centered services and assures compliance with federal & University policies.
SUPERVISORY AUTHORITY:
Responsible for providing supervision for various functions and work units. Formally plans, assigns, directs, and coordinates the work of these functions. Performs staff evaluations and makes recommendations regarding pay and/or performance.
NATURE AND SCOPE:
Internal contacts include administrators, faculty, staff and students. External contacts include vendors, contractors, visitors, alumni and the general public.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Responsible for the setup and execution of the registration set-up, timeline, and process each semester.
- Provide administrative support for the annual review and update of the Student Reference Manual.
- Review departmental/University policies and procedures and makes recommendations for change, when appropriate.
- Serve on assigned committees and participate in professional development activities as assigned.
Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred. Minimum of 5 years of managerial experience in a registrar’s office or closely related enrollment management function in a higher education institution.
Experience with complex student information systems, course registration, curriculum and enrollment planning software Experience in understanding of administrative registration matters across higher education. Strong understanding of best practices in student registration and records and understands the role of the Registrar in strategic enrollment management and student success.
