- A Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Communications, or a related field is required, or five years of relevant professional proofreading or editing experience may substitute for the degree.

- Experience applying style guides, editorial standards, and production controls in a high-volume publishing environment is required.

- The role requires the ability to work extended hours, including evenings and weekends, when needed to support daily publication cycles.
- Serve as the final production control authority for all Defense Intelligence Digest content before publication.
- Conduct final proofreading and quality-control reviews of layouts, graphics, and formatted content to ensure accuracy, consistency, and adherence to Defense Intelligence Agency and Directorate for Analysis standards.
- Enforce compliance with the Defense Intelligence Agency Style Guide, Defense Intelligence Digest Staff Standard Operating Procedures, the Office of the Director of National Intelligence Security Markings Program and CAPCO, and Directorate for Analysis tradecraft and written intelligence standards.
- Review and validate all classification and declassification markings for compliance with the Office of the Director of National Intelligence Security Markings Program.
- Apply Secretary of Defense Daily Brief branding to selected Defense Intelligence Digest articles in HTML format as directed by the Defense Intelligence Digest Managing Editor.
- Oversee HTML layout and final content production using Defense Intelligence Agency-authorized publishing tools such as DocBuilder.
- Coordinate with technical editors, managing editors, designers, and dissemination teams to ensure on-time daily publication.
- Produce and submit a Daily Status Report documenting completed work, production issues, and resolutions.
- Maintain and archive final versions of all Defense Intelligence Digest products in designated shared drives.
- Prior experience supporting intelligence-community or Department of Defense publications.
- Familiarity with Office of the Director of National Intelligence CAPCO, Security Markings Program, and classification-marking requirements.
- Experience with HTML-based publishing tools or structured document production systems.
- Experience developing or maintaining editorial Standard Operating Procedures or quality-control plans.
- Experience working in a classified, production-driven environment with daily deliverables.
