Requirements
  • A valid, limited intern permit to practice pharmacy under the immediate personal supervision of a licensed pharmacist is required.
  • Successful completion of the first year of professional coursework at an approved School of Pharmacy is required.
  • Availability and punctuality for scheduled work shifts are required.
  • Passing a drug test is required.
  • Initial and continuous exclusion and sanction or disciplinary monitoring is required.
  • Any additional eligibility requirements based on the specific position must be met.
Responsibilities
  • Receive training and perform duties in the pharmacy department to become familiar with staff functions, operations, management viewpoints, and company policies and practices affecting the pharmacy business.
  • Observe experienced workers to acquire knowledge of methods, procedures, and performance standards for pharmacist duties.
  • Follow all state and federal guidelines governing the practice of pharmacy.
  • Follow Noble’s policies and procedures to dispense prescriptions and counsel patients.
  • Ensure that every prescription is checked by a pharmacist before dispensing it to the patient.
  • Assist with the initial submission and required resubmission of third-party claims.
  • Assist with pharmacy inventory management, including transmitting, processing, and receiving orders from the warehouse and additional suppliers as needed.
  • Assist with checking pharmacy inventory for outdated items and processing all returns.
  • Locate prescription files and other manual records from storage as needed.
  • Prepare and file manual records for pharmacist signatures and review.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all patient information.
  • Maintain and develop professional relationships with doctors and others in health service professions.
  • Stay aware of developments in pharmacy and health care services related to job responsibilities and integrate them into practice.
  • Keep current with all state and federal requirements related to conditions of employment.
  • Perform Pharmacy Clerk duties as needed.
Desired Qualifications
  • Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacy Intern.
