Requirements
  • An Associate's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred; equivalent experience and relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+ or Network+ may be accepted instead.
  • One to three years of help desk, technical support, or related information technology experience is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Windows and/or macOS operating systems, Microsoft 365, and basic networking concepts is required.
  • The ability to troubleshoot and solve problems and explain technical issues to non-technical staff is required.
  • The ability to prioritize and manage multiple support requests across several locations is required.
  • The candidate must be at least 21 years of age and able to pass a background check in accordance with Ohio Division of Cannabis Control requirements.
  • A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required for travel between locations.
  • The candidate must be able to lift and carry information technology equipment weighing up to 40 pounds.
  • The candidate must be able to sit, stand, kneel, and work in server or network closets and under desks as needed.
  • The candidate must be able to travel locally between entity locations as required.
  • The employee must work in compliance with applicable state and local cannabis regulations and company security protocols.
Responsibilities
  • Serve as the first point of contact for employee information technology support requests through the help desk ticketing system, phone, or in person, and track requests through resolution.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, printer, mobile-device, and network-connectivity issues across all entity locations.
  • Support and maintain point-of-sale systems, security camera and badge-access systems, and seed-to-sale tracking software such as METRC used for state compliance.
  • Set up, configure, and deploy computers, tablets, point-of-sale terminals, and other end-user devices for new hires and new locations.
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and access across email, human resources information systems, payroll, and other business systems in coordination with Human Resources and IT leadership.
  • Maintain accurate information technology asset inventory, including hardware, software licenses, and warranty or service records.
  • Escalate complex issues to the IT Manager or third-party vendors and follow up to ensure timely resolution.
  • Assist with network and Wi-Fi troubleshooting, including routers, switches, and access points at cultivation, processing, and retail sites.
  • Support compliance-related technology needs, including camera-retention requirements and system uptime for Ohio Division of Cannabis Control compliance.
  • Document recurring issues and contribute to the internal knowledge base and standard operating procedures.
  • Assist with onboarding and offboarding technology tasks, including account provisioning and equipment collection, in partnership with Human Resources.
  • Maintain the confidentiality of sensitive company, employee, and compliance data.
  • Perform other information technology-related duties as assigned.
