A rapidly growing part of the Personal Investor business is CXD, a group that is passionate about improving client experiences. Recent technology changes such as LLMs and GenAI have opened up many opportunities to drive productivity. As we think through how we effectively utilize these capabilities across multiple channels/platforms our clients engage with us today, there is a need for strong cross-channel spinal product management.
We are seeking a highly accomplished, strategic, and influential leader to be the Product Owner and develop a technical roadmap for Advanced Analytic technologies such as GenAI, LLMs etc. and enabling areas such as Data Structures. This Product Owner will work closely with Client Experience Product Owners, Data Science Product Owners, Data Science Delivery Manages, Data Architects, UX Strategists, Developers within an Agile working environment. Although this person will develop Data Science driven products, this is not a Data Science role.
Core Responsibilities
- Speed and complexity of core technologies are evolving rapidly. You will help develop the product vision for spinal capabilities, define its fit to new and current client experiences and channels roadmaps.
- Drive cross-team discovery (IT, Data Mgmt, Advanced Analytic, Product, UX) to better evaluate spinal capabilities.
- CXD ecosystem is highly matrixed between Client Experiences, Client/Crew Interaction Channels, and Technical Stacks. You will engage with these teams and ensure connectivity to their roadmaps.
- Distill needs of multiple Experience labs into capability roadmaps for the shared services team (e.g. call intent collection, call intent disambiguation).
- Drive CX vision by proactively identifying relevant technology developments, increase awareness of these technologies and serve as a driving force for their adoption and integration.
- Translate roadmaps into analytic delivery schedules in partnership with Data Science Product Owners and Delivery Managers.
- Keeps abreast of latest innovations and test them within a controlled environment. Represent Vanguard in external industry events and proactively forms external relationships to bring in new ideas, technology, and talents.
- Hires, evaluates, and supervise crew. Provides guidance and training as necessary to develop crew. Sets performance standards, reviews performance, and makes informed compensation decisions in accordance with all applicable Human Resources policies and procedures.
- Participates in the development of the department budget, including the identification of technology investments and budget allocation to support these tools. Reviews expenses and ensures unit operates within budgetary guidelines.
- Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 12 years of experience in the Analytic Technology Product space preferably in Financial Services and at least eight years of work experience within Digital Channel Analytics (Web, Mobile, IVR etc.)
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience within quantitative fields such as Mathematics, Engineering, Operations Research etc. Graduate degree preferred
- You are intrigued by the challenge of building capabilities and high performing teams within a dynamic business environment.
- Strong partnership management skills and ability to advocate for deep analytics to business partners.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to influence wide variety of audiences.
- Willingness to roll-up the sleeves and deliver work-product whenever needed.
- Ability to work within cross-functional teams within an Agile environment.
- A proven track record of decision making and problem solving using advanced analytics methodologies. Conceptual thinking skills must be complemented by a strong quantitative orientation.
