  • 4-year degree in Civil or Environmental or Mechanical Engineering
  • At least 12 years or more of project management and engineering experience in the field of water and wastewater treatment
  • Sound knowledge of treatment plant principles and their translation to studies, designs and construction of those facilities
  • Knowledge in the areas of: Process calculations/computer simulations, Contract Management, and Managing large construction companies
  • Experienced in sewer and sewer rehabilitation design
  • Familiar with process related environmental regulations and permitting issues
  • Experienced in preparing and giving presentations to clients
  • Good understanding of safety issues, including OSHA regulations
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
  • Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Project software
  • Incumbent must meet Parsons’ project management certification requirements
Responsibilities
  • Provide technical expertise, project management, construction management and strategic direction to ensure the successful delivery of the wastewater and water projects
  • Lead multi-disciplinary project teams and manage construction contractors
  • Ability to effectively plan, organize and prioritize multiple projects and manage designs, procurement and construction activities by subconsultants, subcontractors and General contractors
  • Ability to develop and oversee the development of project scopes, budgets, schedules to meet client expectations and overall goals of the project
  • Effectively monitor and track project expenditures to ensure that budgets are adhered to
  • Monitor and track project schedules to ensure that projects are completed on time
  • Mentor and guide project engineers and junior staff
  • Initiate and manage the design and construction of water and wastewater treatment plant systems, water conveyance and wastewater collection system projects
  • Ability to conduct independent root cause analysis related to design and construction changes and bring solutions to client
  • Anticipate problems and develop solutions to overcome problems
  • Support business development effort
  • Familiar with the function of regulatory agencies with experienced in interfacing among multiple agencies
  • Prepare and compile technical memorandums, concept reports, and pre-design reports
  • Foster a collaborative and learning-oriented environment to enhance the One-Team culture
Desired Qualifications
  • PE Licensed Preferred
  • Experience with advanced wastewater process and water treatment
  • Experience in the development of process flow diagrams, process descriptions, process mass and heat balances, and P&IDs are preferred
