Requirements
  • An Associate's Degree from an accredited college or university in Business Administration or related field.
  • Four (4) years of experience in administrative experience with some executive exposure.
  • -OR- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in Business Administration or related field AND two (2) years of experience in administrative experience with some executive exposure.
  • -OR- Six (6) years of experience in administrative experience with some executive exposure at managers discretion.
  • Valid Florida Driver's License at time of hire.
Responsibilities
  • Serve as primary support to the Stormwater Director and liaison with local governments and stakeholders.
  • Manage executive calendars, phones, meetings, travel, and expense reports.
  • Independently create presentations and coordinate the departmental events.
  • Handle, assign, and track information requests and communications.
  • Organize and maintain a central filing system for the department.
  • Prepare legal ads for public hearings and manage public request backups.
  • Support internal communications and maintain employee contact systems.
  • Represent the department on county-wide communication teams.
  • Manage Smartsheet systems for action tracking, forms, and automations.
  • Prepare, track, and process Board agenda items, briefings, assignments, and implements ordinances and resolutions.
  • Coordinate interviews, applicant travel, mandatory training, and liaises with HR for department needs.
  • Manage performance measures, action items, and maintain organization charts.
  • Respond to inquiries, compose and edit documents, and provide policy guidance to the Director.
  • Support major initiatives, board priorities, and trains staff on systems like Workday.
  • Handle high-level issue resolution and problem-solving with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Prepare agenda materials, presentations, and leads coordination of special projects.
  • Manage office purchases as P-Card holder and provide backup support for procurement processes.
Desired Qualifications
  • Advanced Professional Certification.
  • Knowledge of county, state, and federal regulations.
  • Experience with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Smartsheet, Microsoft Teams, OnBase, Outlook, Clear Point, and/or Lucid chart.
