Requirements
  • Outstanding financial acumen. Understands and is able to extract insights from PnL, balance sheets, understand projects
  • Proficient in spreadsheets, databases, MS Office, financial software applications and BI tools.
  • Hands on experience with complex statistical analysis.
  • Outstanding presentation, reporting, communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proven knowledge of financial forecasting and analysis.
  • Well informed in current financial subjects, accounting, tax laws, money market and business environments.
  • 5+ years of experience working in a Finance role in the Trucking or Logistics industry preferred.
Responsibilities
  • Owner of the business forecasting process and performance management activities
  • Owner of the periodic (ROFO) forecasting
  • Owner of the periodic forecasting process across incl. cost allocation of corporate functions (incl. SG&A forecasting of those)
  • Owner/presenter of the MOS deck
  • Ensure close collaboration with the accounting team to understand potential P/L impact
  • Drive Employment Engagement to +75%-tile through living Maersk values, being respectful, encourage internal debate of process optimization, provide regular feedback on performance, articulate and document key priorities and deliveries/objectives

Maersk Invests in Vertoro for Green Fuels

Danish shipping giant Maersk, via Maersk Growth, is investing in Dutch start-up Vertoro to advance its liquid lignin technology for marine fuels. This investment will help Vertoro build a demo plant operational by 2022, producing lignin-based fuels. Maersk sees lignin as a key to decarbonizing shipping, alongside biodiesel, alcohols, and ammonia. This is Maersk's third recent investment in future fuels, following investments in WasteFuel and Prometheus.
