Requirements
  • A High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • One year of human service experience working with children, adolescents, and adults is preferred.
  • A valid driver's license and a good driving record are required.
  • The ability to pass thorough background checks and Livescan is required.
  • The ability to complete two weeks of paid job training classes is required.
  • The candidate must be able to work outdoors in a greenhouse environment.
  • The candidate must remain calm and supportive during behavioral challenges.
  • The candidate must be able to assist with mobility support and lifting when necessary.
  • The candidate must be willing to transport participants; wheelchair-accessible vehicle training is provided if needed.
  • The candidate must meet 100% mastery of Safe and Positive Approaches.
  • The candidate must be able to walk, sit, and stand for significant periods; lift or manage resistance of 75–100 pounds or more when applying physical intervention techniques; perform repetitive wrist and hand movements; and use computers, office equipment, and vehicles as needed.
Responsibilities
  • Assist with planning and implementing recreational, social, and instructional programs for individuals in assigned residential or day programs.
  • Support individuals in daily greenhouse activities, including planting, watering, harvesting, and maintaining plants.
  • Provide guidance and coaching in vocational and job-readiness skills within the greenhouse setting.
  • Assist individuals with hygiene needs and personal care when necessary.
  • Support individuals in understanding social cues, communication, and appropriate workplace interactions.
  • Provide behavioral support and use positive strategies to help individuals manage challenging behaviors.
  • Assist with safe ambulation, including supporting individuals who may have mobility challenges.
  • Provide transportation to and from community activities, including supporting individuals who use wheelchairs.
  • Encourage community integration through outings, volunteer opportunities, and community-based learning.
  • Support individuals in developing life skills, communication skills, and independence.
  • Maintain a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for all participants.
  • Document activities and communicate with supervisors and team members.
  • Occasionally drive Devereux vehicles for business purposes.

Kyle Gravel named Vice President of autism services at RCPA member Devereux. Apr 8, 2026 Villanova, PA - April 8, 2026 - Devereux, one of the nation's largest nonprofit providers of behavioral healthcare, today announced that Kyle Gravel, M.S., LMFT, BCBA, CCATP-CA, ASDCS, has been selected for the newly created position of vice president of autism services, effective immediately. As a member of Devereux's executive leadership team, Gravel will oversee strategies, innovations and expansion efforts of the organization's new national autism services division. Specifically, he will lead the development and execution of a national autism expansion strategy, assess existing service offerings, identify areas for strategic growth, and drive a growth-based business plan focused on service innovation. Gravel also will ensure alignment and consistency across all Devereux autism programs, while promoting evidence-based practices and high standards of compassionate care. "Kyle is a strategic and visionary leader, and we are thrilled to welcome him to our team," said Devereux Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer Rhea Fernandes, Psy.D. "His expertise will be instrumental as we grow our national autism services division, expanding our reach and deepening our impact across the country.
