  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field with 8 years' or a Master's Degree in a technical field with 6 years of relevant program management experience, including experience with shipyard new construction.
  • CAM certified.
  • Experience managing program risk and opportunity.
  • EVMS expertise.
  • Familiarity with MS Office Project tools.
  • US Citizenship.
  • Active DoD Secret Clearance.
Responsibilities
  • Performs key elements of Program Management, Functional Management and interfaces with prime shipyard customer and the U.S Navy, the end-user.
  • Supports and assists the LSC program manager in planning, executing, monitoring, and controlling all phases of the program through close-out.
  • Responsible for the cost, schedule and technical performance of assigned program areas.
  • Prepares proposals, business plans, proposal work statements and specifications, operating budgets and financial terms/conditions of contract; participates in the negotiation of contract and contract changes.
  • Baselines programs to meet execution and business goals.
  • Manages program risks and opportunities.
  • Escalates issues requiring management attention promptly.
  • Lead and work in a matrixed functional organization.
  • Establishes a business and program execution communications cadence with the team.
  • Works closely with the Business Development team to grow the business within her/his portfolio.
  • Actively adheres to master plans and schedules, identifies program issues and develops and executes solutions, such as re-allocation of resources, rescheduling work, improving processes, or changing contractual specifications.
