  • Passionate and knowledgeable about DC Comics and its many iterations
  • Attention to detail, great communication, clear vision and listening capabilities, and competent research skills for artwork, characters, and storylines
  • Some experience with cloud storage systems like Box and One Drive and comfortable using Microsoft suite (Excel, Teams and Word)
  • Must be actively enrolled in an accredited college or university degree program for the full duration of the internship (proof of enrollment required)
  • Must be a rising Junior or Senior Undergrad Student (18 years or older)
  • Must be in academic good standing (3.0 or above GPA) A transcript will be required to verify your GPA if an offer is extended
  • Warner Bros. Discovery will only consider candidates who are presently authorized to work for any employer in the United States and who will not require work visa sponsorship from Warner Bros. Discovery now or in the future in order to retain their authorization to work in the United States. Candidates currently on any student or exchange visa, including F-1 CPT, F-1 OPT, J-1, M-1, etc., will not be eligible for the internship program.
Responsibilities
  • Reviewing outlines, scripts, animatics, audio mixes, etc. for a variety of DC projects
  • Providing necessary research into DC characters, locations, items, etc. to provide suggestions and guidance on what DC IP to use in any given project in development
  • Learning how to provide feedback and work with various departments within DC to gather feedback/notes and ensure all items are approved by the necessary parties
  • Tracking progress on projects to learn the stages of that particular media's life cycle
  • Reading comic books and having the critical skills to write and document their thoughts to provide feedback
  • Helping the DC Interactive team in researching the DC IP providing guidance on the entire DC universe from its characters, locals, and storylines
  • Contributing to in supporting the team maintaining propriety databases and reference libraries
  • Testing the various DC games in development and learning how to provide notes, feedback, and reviewing documentation for projects
  • Participating in projects related to production and manufacturing that will result in a wide range of real world products that will be delivered to market
  • Preparing and processing files for print and digital and pushing them through the production lifecycle
  • Hitting production deadlines set by Operations and our partners
  • Attending any meetings related to project assignments and participating in verbal status reports
  • May be trained on DC proprietary systems like NEST and the Content Pipeline Tool
  • Researching items related to DC Comics--including characters, stories, writers/artists/talent, locations (i.e. Gotham City), comic artwork, etc.
Desired Qualifications
  • Photoshop skills would be a nice to have skill as well as the ability to build a compelling deck presentation
  • High level knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator) for digital publishing and print
  • Some experience with workflow systems like Monday.com
  • A plus to have knowledge of a CMS and some knowledge of UI and UX
